Those who live there
Whether sketched or depicted, abstract or figurative, the house is both setting and character. By tracing its contours, we draw the portraits, stories, and inner worlds of its inhabitants—past, present, and future. We tell the story of their way of being in the world, in space, and in the landscape. Though the inhabitants may be discreet, they are everywhere. In these places, they are the only subject.
